Barcola Exit Closer as Liverpool Reportedly Agree Personal Terms

A Barcola exit from Paris Saint-Germain is closer than at any stage this summer. Fabrizio Romano is reported to have revealed a verbal agreement between Liverpool and Bradley Barcola over personal terms, with the fee involved put at a reported £106m. That is an understanding with the player rather than with Paris, and neither club has commented publicly.

Why a Barcola exit is suddenly live

The timing is not a coincidence. Paris have agreed a deal to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona in the region of €50m, around £42.7m, as The New York Times reported, and the London Evening Standard framed that agreement as a major boost to Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola. Torres is not a PSG player, and that move has not been confirmed by either club.

It is a shift from the line Paris were holding only hours earlier, when they were reported to want €200m in total for Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, a combined price Liverpool were said to consider too expensive. Barcola reported back for pre-season with the Anfield interest already public.

None of this is official. The reported £106m fee has not been stood up by PSG or Liverpool, and the verbal-agreement claim rests on a single report. It also describes terms between player and club, not a fee agreed between the clubs, and Paris remain the side who decide whether a Barcola exit happens at all.

The window runs to deadline day, and the Paris forward line already holds Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué and summer signing Maghnes Akliouche, with Torres reported to be joining them. That depth is what makes a sale possible. It is also why Paris can sit tight and name their price.
