Bradley Barcola Reports Back to PSG Despite Liverpool Interest

Bradley Barcola has reported back to Paris Saint-Germain for pre-season with his future still the subject of speculation, as Liverpool continue to push for the France winger. Reports on Monday claimed the Premier League club had agreed personal terms with the forward — but Les Parisiens are under no pressure to sell and value Barcola far above the figures being floated.

What Bradley Barcola’s return means for PSG

The winger’s presence back at Campus PSG is the clearest sign yet that Paris intend to keep one of Luis Enrique’s most trusted attackers. This Is Anfield reported that Barcola had returned to training even as Liverpool were said to have agreed terms with the player, leaving the deal dependent on a club-to-club agreement Paris have shown no inclination to strike.

PSG have moved quickly to cool the noise around the fee. Liverpool have dismissed reports that they lodged a €115m bid, while journalist Fabrizio Romano detailed the Anfield club’s reaction after Paris responded to an indicated proposal. Having already set a high asking price for a player who scored regularly on the way to back-to-back Champions League titles, the champions can afford to hold firm.

With the window still open and Paris having strengthened elsewhere through Lucas Digne and Maghnes Akliouche, the ball sits with Liverpool: match PSG’s valuation or move on. For now, Barcola is back among the Parc des Princes faithful’s favourites — and Paris will hope he stays that way.
