Adam Ayari is reportedly on the verge of signing his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.

The 18-year-old, whose youth contract is due to expire in the coming weeks, is said to have been particularly convinced by Luis Campos’s involvement in discussions regarding his future.

Widely seen as a key player in PSG’s Under-19 squad, the young winger has enjoyed a remarkable season in the hands of coach Thomas Leyssales. Having made 32 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu, Ayari has been instrumental on no fewer than 30 occasions across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 12 assists.

PSG favoured over Ajax by Ayari

Having been particularly impressive during the Parisians’ run to the Gambardella Cup final (seven goals, three assists), where they will face Montpellier this Friday 22nd May, the French U19 international (three caps) is therefore set to see his fine performances rewarded.

A fine coup for the Parisian management, who, in this case, had to contend with competition from Ajax Amsterdam, the Dutch club having tried everything in recent weeks to convince the Paris-born player to move to the Netherlands. But to no avail.

matchday.
