Kang-In Lee has been called up to the South Korea national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
The 25-year-old forward has been a frequent face in the PSG squad this season, making 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
He has also been a key cog in the South Korea squad, with 46 caps, 11 goals and 13 assists. It will be his second World Cup outing after the 2022 campaign in Qatar where he played in all four matches as they lost out to Brazil in the round of 16.
Lee’s call up comes a day after Khalil Ayari was called up to the Tunisia squad. The 21-year is currently on loan from Stade Tunisia with the deal set to permanent in the summer.
He is yet to feature for the senior PSG team but could be given his debut in Sunday’s Ligue 1 finale against Paris FC.
PSG players head France squad
The biggest headlines have however come from the France squad where head coach Didier Deschamps named five PSG players.
These are Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaire-Emery and Lucas Hernandez, who will all look to play an instrumental part in Les Bleus hopes of winning a third World Cup title and second under Deschamps.
