Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson made his thoughts known to Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi during their 5-4 win over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday.

The game grabbed a lot of attention thanks to the scoreline which was the highest-ever in a Champions League semi-final.

Ferguson, who was in charge of Man United between 1986 and 2013, was present at the encounter at the Parc de Princes.

According to Le Parisien, the 84-year-old Scot told PSG President Al-Khelaifithat that he had never seen such a beautiful match.

He oversaw 190 games in the Champions League with Manchester United, and led them to the title in 1999 and 2008 while also he reached the final in 2009 and 2011, but lost to Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona.

Ferguson never faced PSG in his time at United but both clubs met five times between 2015 and 2020, with the Parisians leading the way with three wins, while the Red Devils have two victories.
